i have cut to the feeling on repeat
[Scene: two losers go to a shopping mall, because Daichi was wandering around looking disappointed in himself yet again and Joe has Better Ideas Than That. Daichi can't remember if he was actually asked if he wanted to be here, or if he was simply dragged along for the ride again and couldn't refuse once they were already at the mall. Joe just happens so much at once, despite all of Daichi's half-hearted complaining, so... here they are.
At the mall. Daichi is, at least, not sulking about whatever he was feeling inadequate about before. Instead:]
Man, my feet hurt... [Here, he affects his best (worst) Joe Voice:] Let's go shopping, Daichi! It'll be fun! —It's been nearly three hours and all we have to show for it is one magazine. C'mon, you could have done this without me.
[This menace... Why is he here, Joe? Why??]

he hums low, very scolding except that it isn't at all, idly playing with the ends of Joe's hair.]
Because you carried me in here. I dunno, man, I think I'm winning this one.
no subject
It's a competition now, huh?
[ no. don't, joe. don't - ]
All right. [ final last words? too late he's going to (gently) grab daichi's chin and drag him in for another awe-inspiring kiss. ]
no subject
Well—
[not really? no? but he won't say no to being pulled into another kiss, giving up on the rest of what he was going to say to just hum against his lips. yeah, that's awesome, keep it up. he gets a smooch and dissolves like the sap he is.]
no subject
but this is worse than joe first thought. daichi really is a hopeless romantic. and by worse he means the best. the absolute best.
the hand on daichi's back will continue its trek, up and down, until he has the gumption to skirt fingertips along the hem of the back of the hoodie. how bold! how daring! ]
no subject
just don't make any real sudden movements because he's sensitive?]
no subject
does a hand going up the back of daichi's shirt count as sudden and or real? because that's happening right now, right here. testing the waters, so to speak. ]
no subject
well, he's good with it. he curls his fingers more tightly into Joe's hair, blindly wiggling his other hand around (again) until he finds Joe's waist to rest against. daring.]
no subject
joe lets his hand splay flat against daichi's lower back, the warmth seeping into his fingertips. daichi is soft and it's very much enjoyable. what's even more enjoyable - probably - is the way joe is very methodically pressing the pads of his fingers into the skin, in some hack job attempt at a massage. or something.
he cares. ]
no subject
ah, but he needs to break away from kissing him just enough to mumble against his lips.] Told you so.
[........Daichi,] You're not watching TV at all.
no subject
instead of the light thwack upside the head for that, joe grins. he just grins against daichi's lips and doesn't pull away. after a beat longer he even dares to respond: ]
I know. I found something I'd rather watch.
[ SMOOTH. ]
no subject
Oh yeah? With your hands?
[like, don't stop or anything. but this is a call out post, complete with smirk.]
You really can't help it. Huh.
no subject
How can I resist when I've got you all to myself for the night~
[ the scariest of all the tildes, complete with grin and fingers tracing up daichi's spine, now with the added benefit of skin on skin. ]
no subject
but it's a short kiss because he is compelled to keep talking, thanks.]
Nobody said anything about that.
no subject
the clinging is very agreeable until daichi thinks it's necessary to keep talking. why is this boy like this? who taught him to be like this? rude. ]
It's not true?
[ okay so joe is making it worse by grinning. ]
no subject
What's not— no, I meant... [don't... resist?? Joe, you picked the wrong half of the statement to apply Daichi's vague babbling to.] W-well, you can keep doing what you're doing. I'm not gonna get up and go home, jeez.
no subject
Yeah. You already told your parents you're staying~
[ this is joe. watch joe embarrass himself relentlessly. ]
no subject
I know... look, just forget I said anything.
[instead: touch him. gently.]
no subject
Eh, dunno if that is possible.
[ but he's going back to touching, hand skirting around from his back to his side and then abdomen?? sure. ]
no subject
[at least don't make fun of him, that's all he really wants. he shifts to be pressed less completely against Joe, so uh, so he can get his hand up there. prioritizing.]
You're such a pain...
[somehow he says this with affection, resuming the arduous task of playing with Joe's hair while he otherwise flatlines about what else to do with his hands.]
no subject
I can stop~
[ wow that's such a threat. but joe doesn't stop. in fact, he kisses daichi briefly, the corner of his mouth, before his hand glides up higher experimentally. basically if you're giving him the green light he's going to go go go. ]
no subject
that's so gay. almost too gay. but damn it, it's true. all of this means is even though Daichi makes a dumb noise and tenses for a second, it's fine, he's fine.]
Ngh—n-no, it's okay. [he's honestly trying not to like, be ticklish or anything. help.] I want you to... keep it up.
no subject
Keep what up, Daichi?
[ wow this is cruel and unusual. so that's fine. that's great. ]
no subject
and hey, making him speak is rude? now he wants to never speak again instead of running his mouth.]
Seriously? You're seriously going to be like this. [nnnnngh] Just—touch. Me. Touch me. Okay?
[this is the most difficult thing he's ever done, and he can summon demons??]
no subject
joe almost stops right then and there to applaud. he's momentarily stunned but then smiles, tilting his head back to kiss the corner of daichi's mouth again. that deserves a reward. maybe daichi is more mentally prepared for all of this than he gave him credit for. sweet. ]
Okay.
[ there, see, talking works. ah, a thought, though, as his hand traces down the middle of his chest: ]
You can too, you know.
no subject
he turns his head to bump noses (not intentional) and kiss him briefly (actually intentional). that's his unspoken thank you for not actually doing something as extra as applauding, he'd die.]
...Oh. [there's no hint that he didn't think that was allowed; he knew, he figured that out, but he hasn't hyped himself up for it yet.] I know. I was getting to it.
[slowly. now that he's been called out, he lets go of Joe's waist to fumble with the hem of his shirt before inching his fingers barely an inch up his side. a start.]
