[Scene: two losers go to a shopping mall, because Daichi was wandering around looking disappointed in himself yet again and Joe has Better Ideas Than That. Daichi can't remember if he was actually asked if he wanted to be here, or if he was simply dragged along for the ride again and couldn't refuse once they were already at the mall. Joe just happens so much at once, despite all of Daichi's half-hearted complaining, so... here they are.

At the mall. Daichi is, at least, not sulking about whatever he was feeling inadequate about before. Instead:]

Man, my feet hurt... [Here, he affects his best (worst) Joe Voice:] Let's go shopping, Daichi! It'll be fun! —It's been nearly three hours and all we have to show for it is one magazine. C'mon, you could have done this without me.

[This menace... Why is he here, Joe? Why??]

[it's not like he isn't completely all over Joe, right here right now, so he doesn't need time to think about how nice it would be to just be close to him as often as possible. so.

so it's definitely how fast he'll run out of excuses for disappearing on multiple weekends. damn his lack of his own place!!]

joe is warm and safe and a great bed companion for how annoying he is during waking hours. ]

[he only has so many friends! never mind that, focus on how he's already here right now.]

Why, what weird thing do you do in the mornings?

[because clearly the only thing he could possibly find to complain about is like, Joe getting up at 4 to sing. or something.]

[ how did you know he was the apartment complex rooster that sings a hardy rendition of britney spears at dawn? ]

Might not like sharing a bed? Don't really know.

[ look he isn't counting his chickens before they hatch. ]

[oh. they totally went in different directions with that, huh. here Daichi has already assumed that sharing a bed will be a great, romantic thing that he will definitely love... so.]

I thiiink I can find something to like about it. I've got a hunch.

[ there's a stirring of a grin. okay joe back to normal mode. thank goodness. look he'll even tip his head closer so he can kiss daichi's forehead. ]

[oh good, for a moment he was going to wonder if Joe had another one of those rare moments of not being totally certain about a thing, but dumb rhyming brings him back. great.]

Or... normal breakfast.

[brunch makes him think of old ladies and stuffy tea parties, because he's an idiot.]

All right. Waffles and pancakes it is.

[ and then there's a kiss to the corner of daichi's mouth. dessert? who knows. ]

[waffles and pancakes is two breakfasts, Joe. you're going to put him in a coma first thing in the morning.]

Sounds good to me. And... well, we can figure out what to do with that stupid monster soda tomorrow.

[it's too late to bother with it now. Joe gets a kiss on the cheek for his eventual breakfast effort, and Daichi scoots himself in a liiittle closer.]
