[In this garbage can, boy?? Emil makes another face much to that effect - it's a can for garbage! Ancient trash! But it's a dream can right now, so... Alright, so good enough; he leans in to kiss him with a little hum, despite all the garbage.]

Technically, we're already asleep. [But dream kisses are still good! 10/10! He gives him another quick peck as a bonus.]

I don't think your cousin likes me very much, so you might have to come find me.

[A kiss is a kiss, no matter their state or what they're surrounded by. Lalli is pleased, but, uh, maybe a little less so when Onni is brought up. Ah, so the dreaded Talking begins... he looks right off to the side.]

...Mmm. [So, like, total agreement with all that was just said! Nice! But while Lalli isn't all that great at cushioning blows, he still finds himself drumming his fingers against the back of Emil's hand as he thinks of how to better explain this.] He... hasn't met a friend of mine before.

[And there's a lot that goes with that? About their family dynamic, and Onni's protective nature, but Lalli looks back at Emil and goes for something else, instead.]

At the start of this mission he'd be a shambles trying to fix whatever it is he seems to have done, but now, well. Lalli likes him, sooo... he's good!

That's Character Development. He still scoffs, smoothing his thumb over Lalli's cheekbone.]

Things keep changing, for good and for bad, but Onni is family; he'll always be there when Lalli needs him.

So instead of worrying about that particular bridge, Lalli pulls a face—one that screams, "Yeah, good luck with that"—before focusing on the other topic at hand. No prior kissing friends? Well, it's nice to know they're both in completely new territory here, but also: hmm. What is that supposed to mean about friendship??]

I never kissed anyone. I didn't want to. [Just throwing that out there, since this is apparently a trash can confessional, before he slides his hand down to encircle Emil's wrist.] But I kissed you, and we're still friends.

[There's not enough of a lilt at the end of that sentence to make it a true question, but... maybe he's curious? Maybe he's thinking back to the very first smooch of the day, wondering what, if anything, that changed about their relationship as kisses Emil's palm yet again. Explain!!]

[Please, let him believe that he's capable of charming another weird Finn. But less than he charmed Lalli, because he only really needs one Finn, etc etc. Anyway. They sure are sharing these personal details... in the dream trash. Emil fidgets a little to get his free arm under his head for a nice comfortable pillow, considering.

...Sure! Lalli isn't the type of person to care about proper names or terms, so as he places that hand back on his cheek, he decides that he can work with friends-that-are-more-than-friends. They're fine; it fits.]

When you told me that you liked me very much? [And he, you know, parroted it back. Yes, he remembers that! That new type of like! Very exciting. Plus there was also all of the kissing, but...] And then you said something else in Swedish.

[Hmm, does he need to explain the proper terminology... nah, probably not. They're friends, they kiss, they like each other very much! That's enough for Emil, too. He even smiles, stupidly happy to hear Lalli remember his very smooth confession.

[A find? A find. Lalli's brow furrows as he thinks this through, but then he gets it... and shoots Emil a rather flat look. A quick one, though, because despite the silliness of that statement, it's true: Emil is a special find. The one person who's actually taken the time to try and get to know—to understand—him...

But rather than say that and inflate Emil's ego to dangerous levels, Lalli shifts a bit, tucking his hands beneath his cheek before closing his eyes. Good night...]

Then maybe I don't like you as much as you think I do.

[Nah, he does. They both know this, and yet!]

[Whoa whoa, excuse you, Lalli, that is not how people treat their excellent good finds!! Emil blinks at him for a moment, not actually comprehending why he's doing this for a couple seconds-- then he grins and leans in closer. You wanted to stay in the trash, you can't escape him now.]

[Look at him, brat!! The hand that was on Lalli's face wanders down to his side and slides around to lay flat against his back. Hello, pay attention to him.]

[Just let him refuse to admit that you're correct in peace, Emil! Damn! Lalli's eyelids twitch as that hand snakes down and around, but he stubbornly refuses to open them. Calling him out like this...]

[There is, of course, nothing wrong with what Emil said, but Lalli can't just say that? Lalli can't really say anything right now, thanks to this neat hole he dug for himself; he settles for stretching a hand up to where he thinks Emil's smug face is, blindly feeling his way down a cheek... and then pressing the tips of his fingers right against his lips. Shh!!!!]

[Tell him how much you liiike him, Lalli... Emil may be lamely silenced, but that doesn't stop him from squeezing Lalli close and humming as if to say fine, fine. He'll wait. This stubborn baby will have to get over it and talk to him eventually...

How long can Lalli deal with the knowledge that Emil is making his smuggest face yet just inches away? Be strong.]

[Oh, that knowledge is grating indeed, but the best way to get back at Emil—even if he hasn't actually done anything—is to stay nice and quiet. Lalli drops his hand, curling it against Emil's chest as he shifts and sighs and prepares to stay like this for as long as he needs to. Maybe he'll doze off!

Or maybe he'll, you know, finally open his eyes just enough to silently watch Emil. How long can he last...]

[Maybe Emil will just go to dream-sleep too!! Take that! No, he won't, he can only last so long like this. Especially after he was made to work with Sigrun all evening, give him positive attention...

[All of which, of course, he heard secondhand from Onni after Reynir spent a good day and a half trying to convince him that showing him around his hometown would be fun for everyone involved. Anyway, please appreciate this effort? He's only... half-thinking of cinnamon rolls here...]

[Well, hiding and kissing would be a fun day, but Emil still looks pleasantly intrigued by this Sheep Town proposal. Basically a date...]

As long as it's just you and me, [he says, as if there was ever an option where they went with other people. Just confirming their continued antisocial behavior... But you know, he doesn't want to complain about sheep people all night, so-] I'll buy you something sweet.

[There will be plenty of time for kissing after their exciting trip, because of course no one else is coming along. Duh! But ah, buying him things even though he has money of his own? There Emil goes, trying to do something nice for him again! Maybe not as nice as, well, carrying him all over the countryside, but it's still a gesture that deserves... something in return. Lalli knows this.]

I'll buy you something, too. [A sweet? A dumb vest? Whatever makes Emil smile, Lalli supposes, but it still doesn't feel like the right thing to say. It's why, after a short pause, he ignores what he told Emil back in one of their earliest dreams and awkwardly adds:] ...Thank you.

[He looks off to the side for the briefest of moments, then quickly looks back over at Emil's dumb face to see if he's going to make things all weird again. Don't do it, Emil! Don't do it!!]

[Oh!! A whole thank you!! That's his very sweet boy, displaying basic human manners like a pro. Emil remembers being told not to make this particular thing weird, so he's not, he isn't-- he smiles and leans in to press a kiss to Lalli's forehead instead. There, see? No weirdness, only affection.]

Thank you, too. [He's looking forward to this Big Date already... truly he will never get any proper deep sleep. Now he's thinking about that, actually--] Am I going to be tired if I don't sleep in here? You've been in these things more than me.

[This forehead kiss is a much more acceptable response than the last one! Maybe, just maybe, he'll try thanking Emil again in the waking world, but he files that away for further consideration and lightly shakes his head.]

[On many levels. How Emil winds up in these lucid dreams with him, Lalli has no idea, but it's just... another dream for him? At least, that's what he thinks. He could always discuss this at-length with Onni, just to get a more experienced mage's opinion, but—well, as long as it's not harming anyone or anything, then...

...Hmm. Lalli reaches back up to lightly touch Emil's cheek, brow knitting together as he studies his face as best he can in the dark. Is that concern? Possibly!!]

[You know, Emil has largely shelved the "how did I get in here and why" issue as something he just doesn't need to know, immediately. It would confuse him if someone could explain it, anyway! And the company is good-- if he were stuck in here with Reynir, he'd have some complaints to share.

But sure, not doing anything... just lying in a trash can that isn't real. He frowns, thinking about it, because being tired is a serious thing that needs careful consideration...? Whatever.]

Nnno, I don't think so. It took me so long to fall asleep in the first place.

[One day, Reynir will barge into one of their dream dates and turn it into an absolute nightmare. Count on that. Anyway, though: Not being tired is a sign that everything both inside and outside of this dream is probably fine, and Lalli hums, apparently satisfied, before settling his hand in that neat little crook between Emil's neck and shoulder. Warm...]
