[No, Toshinori has his priorities in the right order: cats, and then other things. He's honestly missed his stupid ugly baby, and though he knows Mic has taken good care of her, he feels that perhaps it wasn't the best care that could have been taken.
Whatever. He'll spoil her tonight.]
She's going to be . . .
[Hm.]
Unsure here for a while.
no subject
Ah-- what should I do? I'll set up a space!
["Bed rest," they say, and he hears "immediately fuck your boyfriend, then fret over cats for twelve hours."]
no subject
No you won't. Stay in bed. There's nothing for it but to let her explore the space and get used to you.
[A beat, and he tips his head up, narrowing his eyes.]
Don't exert yourself today.
no subject
I-- alright, alright, don't give me that look. I promise I won't go further than this bathroom!
[He will watch an American Movie, and then watch five more. He leans down to kiss Aizawa on the forehead, which is the seal of his important promise.]
no subject
With a little sigh he wraps his fingers around the back of his neck, pulling gently.]
Come here. And then you're going to have to sit or something if you want me to wash your hair--
[Why are you so tall!!]
no subject
Oh-- I can do that.
[Uh, in theory he can do that. He doesn't own a little plastic stool someone might own for reaching the highest cabinets for obvious reasons, but he'll work it out!
First, kisses.]
no subject
But school calls. And so soon he's rising on his toes, fingers running through Toshinori's hair, brisk but thorough. His body gets the same action (although he's careful there, gentle at the bruises, very intent on not hurting him).
Dressing is an adventure, but they manage it. Sweatpants are easier than the shirt, which Toshinori seems intent on believing he can't put both his arms through. Another kiss, which turns into another, and another, until it becomes less a kiss and more of a full-on makeout session, until he stumbles back and makes his way out the door.
He has his scarf. He's safe from prying eyes.
Or, well, he's safe from the prying eyes of those who don't know what to look for. Mic, who assuredly does, grabs his scarf at the first possible moment and yanks it aside, only to yowl in undisguised glee at the dark marks he finds there. He has precisely as many invasive questions as Aizawa thought he would, and he offers just enough information to frustrate him.
Twenty-five centimeters, he tells him, and heads off to homeroom.
The kids are understandably desperately curious about All Might, and for them, he gives more information. He's resting, he's all right, he'll be fine, no, Midoriya, you can't visit him, yes, Iida, he knows you're all sorry--
It goes on. The children's worry abates somewhat, and teaching life goes on. He's informed he and All Might are going to have to do home visits starting this weekend, which is pleasant news. Less so the prospect of facing everyone's parents, but they'll handle that when it comes.
The day passes, and he thinks of Toshinori more than he should. The hours pass a little too slowly, but soon the day is ended and Jelly is handed over and he's on his way home.
. . . to Toshinori's home. Not his home. Obviously.]

But duty calls! Or rather-- duty calls Aizawa, today, and Toshinori has to promise a second time that he will stay home and not exert himself. He keeps that promise as best he can, as bored as he is, but the most exertion he actually does is trying to find his phone (which he eventually locates under a suit jacket draped over a chair, and in finding it, also finds no less than a dozen texts from Mic, several of which are just emojis...).
He chooses not to respond to those, for the sake of his blood pressure and Aizawa's, too. Later.
So it's an incredibly boring day. Gran Torino calls him from the hospital and he politely turns down a visit, insisting that he's just fine and yes, he's even remembering to eat (and then he remembers to shuffle carefully to the kitchen and eat). That's the most interaction he gets, and the rest of the day is spent lying in bed watching American Movies and thinking about Aizawa. Oh, he does his best to think about the students, about the trouble he's caused Midoriya and everyone by losing One for All on national television, but inevitably his thoughts drift back to Aizawa; his hands, the angle of his hips, those elusive smiles--
And then he dozes off, unsurprising given his physical state and his fitful sleep last night. Luckily, Aizawa definitely has his spare key, insistently given to him this morning before he left. Toshinori is asleep, and his phone buzzes with a new message from Mic, sent the precise moment Aizawa took Jelly and left.
So sad. He suddenly can't read, even if he was awake.]
no subject
Or so his texts read, anyway.
It's quiet in the apartment when he lets himself in, and Aizawa keeps himself still, aware Toshinori might be resting. He's not a loud man by nature anyway, it isn't hard. He slips off his shoes and sets his bag down. The carrier is put down in the middle of the living room, the lock undone.
Jelly will come out in her own time. For the moment, he sits on the floor, pulling his bag to him so he can start to grade his papers.]

More than a few English swears drift out of the bedroom, not especially passionate, just grudging. Absolute shit, and he'd try a little harder to keep his coughing quiet if he knew Aizawa was already back, so that's... a fun bonus...
It's another minute or so before he ambles out into the living room and lies down on the couch without any fuss, reaching out to wrap his arm around Aizawa's shoulders from behind. Hello, dearest.]
no subject
Maybe the silence will last another ten minutes. That would be nice. He could just stay like this and get through his papers and occasionally turn his head to smooch his (apparently prone to English swearing, which is a delightful fact to learn) boyfriend . . .
It's silent for a bit, at least. Long enough for Jelly to feel safe enough to poke her squashed little face out of her carrier, and presumably that will ruin the silence, but maybe not?? One can hope.]
no subject
But, ah-- ugly cat. He is... already delighted.]
Oh-- [Oh!!!! What does he do!!]
no subject
[He turns his head, murmuring that against Toshinori's cheek as he nuzzles lightly against him. He extends one leg at the same time, offering Jelly one socked foot to snuffle at.
He wiggles his fingers at the same time, and soon enough she wanders over. It's a slightly harried affair, but she gets there.]
Offer her your hand.
no subject
So quiet. It's killing him. Is this how Mic feels all the time? But he holds his hand out, mercifully biting back his question about whether or not it helps that he probably smells like Aizawa now, Ha Ha Ha.]
no subject
There's a moment of contemplation. She's such an ugly cat, Aizawa thinks fondly, and gives a silent sigh of relief as Jelly butts her head forward against those long fingers. Toshinori may be granted the privilege of petting her, clearly.]
Good job. She likes it against her jaw.
no subject
Haha, [a beat] She must get that from you.
[ha ha, love him]
no subject
[He says it evenly, his voice as flat as his gaze.]
no subject
What does that have to do with how much you like being kissed there? The truth doesn't change!
no subject
You don't have to point it out.
[Honestly . . . Jelly at least interrupts, letting out a semi-distressed mnr as she pushes insistently against Toshinori's fingers. Firmer, please.]
no subject
Is she going to repeat it?
no subject
[He respects the hell out of Nezu, all right, but he's just saying: the thought of Jelly suddenly recalling things and repeating them isn't as outlandish as it used to be.
But this isn't much of a fight, and he tips his head back lazily. It's possible he's angling for a kiss. It's possible he's just exhausted and likes being near to Toshinori. But that can't last; he's still got a whole stack of essays to grade, and he returns to them with an irritated exhale.]
I have to start imposing word limits as well as requirements . . .
[It's just unfair to have both Midoriya and Iida in one class.]
no subject
On the one hand, the students' learning is important... on the other, grading gives him palpitations, so he leans down to kiss against his neck again. Hmm.]
Mm, that's fair.
no subject
Mmhm. It's not a question of fairness. It's a question of how badly your favorite and Iida will react when they hear they can't go on for an extra five pages.
[But more smooches, please, as he tips his head pointedly. He even nudges his hair out of the way, although if this goes on he might just tie it back.]
no subject
That's-- well, to be honest, it takes me such a long time to go through any of their written work...
[He's weak and basically every other possible thing in the world is more interesting than grading. For example, smooching, which he gladly continues.]

You overthink it. And then you want to be too personalized.
