A BIG ASS H
[Regis' birthday was soon. Seira spilled the beans.
It was just an offhand comment. They were going to return to Lukedonia soon and it only snowballed from there as more people questioned why. Tao learned about it first, prompted the children to ask about it during class, and the inevitable was set into motion. They were going to throw a party in Frakenstein's house and there would be no ands, ifs, or buts about it. m21 felt pity for his employer but he was determined to stay out of it. He wasn't a party kind of guy and he didn't have many plans beyond stand in a corner or wash dishes for the event. Then Tao roped him into it by foisting the worst possible job onto him. He was the one that had to keep Regis preoccupied while they decorated the house.
It's hard enough to come up with a reason to separate Regis from Seira and the children in the first place and he didn't even care. Ugh. Thankfully they were ordered (by Shin Woo who couldn't even make eye contact) to go pick up snacks since they happened to forget on the way home before!
It's quiet. They're walking slowly to the grocery store. (It's a longer walk than the convenience store.)

So, honestly, his looming birthday has not been at the forefront of his mind. He's been wondering, though, if someone is going to mention it... Seira hasn't, and he at least expected her to mention it in passing by now! It's an important year for once, surely Seira should speak to him regarding the upcoming changes-- but no, it's been quite silent. He's sure that Frankenstein knows the date somehow by now, and surely he wouldn't care, but Regis might have hoped he would let it slip to Rai, who could acknowledge him on such a special day and make any other nonsense that happened meaningless by comparison.
Nonsense like this, right here and now. He's stuck with M21, fetching snacks? The children didn't even want to come? They spend so long picking out their snacks, but at least they speak willingly... M21 is terrible company!]
It is a shame the children don't trust you to pick up snacks on your own. [THAT'S NOT.........okay regis] Picking me to save you from humiliation is an obvious choice, but I could be doing much more productive things right now...
