[Barring Rael's most recent foray into human culture his last experience was somewhere back when the gramophone was new and exciting. So it is safe to say he doesn't know what the fuck is going on.

In the face of loud music and flashing lights he needed to escape to the outskirts of the roaring party. It was an trek filled with many a handshakes and congratulations to their achievement (apparently) that he returned. He couldn't name what he was actually proud of but whatever, these people were okay enough when they finally ignored him.

Which leads us to Rael staring out at an overwhelming crowd and inching away from the flashing panel he ended up near. Until he spots a familiar face. Regis will note that he was always looking out at the crowd with a sneer and not a concerned bewilderment.]

Is that such a surprise? They would need at least one person actually competent. [Which he probably was. In whatever he did.]

[First off, Regis has no rights to stand in Rael's wallflower spot. He claimed it, it's his. No one invited him to THIS party.

Except Rael is at least comfortable in insulting Regis. Unlike whatever is happening out in the party. So he crosses his arms and directs his focus on the distraction.]

Flee. From a bunch of humans? [A scoff.] I more surprised you haven't grabbed a tray and started serving them yourself.

[He'll do what he wants, thanks. At least rehashing the same argument for the hundredth time is a kind of petty they both know.

Rael finally smirks with a small shake to his head, completely dismissing Regis' first point. Because the servants totally participated in whatever amazing battle took place. It's almost sad to see Regis putting himself beneath other humans as well as serving them. The poor dear.]

Not when they are acting correctly. At least these here are able to thank us for our time. [Instead of acting like it's their right. He's shrugs to emphasis just how much he doesn't care.]
